About
The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council is scheduled to take place from July 10 to July 19, 2023. The forum will focus on the theme of accelerating recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and achieving the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Discussions will center on effective and inclusive recovery measures, addressing the pandemic's impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and developing actionable policy guidance for their implementation. Additionally, the HLPF will conduct an in-depth review of specific SDGs and facilitate voluntary national reviews by 40 countries on their progress towards the 2030 Agenda. The forum will also contribute to the mid-term review of SDG implementation and the preparations for the 2023 SDG Summit in September, held under the General Assembly.
