Committee of the regions, ENVE: Reducing risks in post-2015 - EU perspective on building resilience of communities to disasters

On the 5 December, the Committee of the Region, Commission for Environment, Climate Change and Energy (ENVE) hosts in collaboration with UNISDR Regional Office for Europe a consultation on the HFA+. The purpose of the session is to discuss building resilience to disasters at the local level and to receive input from ENVE Commission members on the Post-2015 Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. The outcome of the meeting will feed into the overall consultation process.

The members of the Commission constitutes of elected local and regional representatives from the EU's 28 Member States.

Panelists are: Paola Albrito, Head of UNISDR Regional Office for Europe, Mr. Claus Kondrup, Policy Officer, EC DG Climate Action and Mr. Luis Carvalho, representative from the Municipality of Amadora, Portugal.
