Celebration of Ten years of HFA:Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters

UNISDR Central Asia and South Caucasus office marked ten years of Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) 2005-2015 in a gathering of the partners and the regional UN colleagues on Friday January 23, 2015, at the Rudick Adamian conference room, UN Common Premises in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The event captured the achievements of HFA over the ten years and the challenges lying ahead. The gathering discussed the expectations of the the Central Asia and South Caucasus region from the post - 2015 framework for Disaster Risk Reduction as well as the region's engagement in the 'Road to Sendai'.
