The Eleventh Arab Partnership Meeting for Disaster Risk Reduction

In preparation for the 6th Arab Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Eleventh Arab Partnership Meeting for Disaster Risk Reduction will be held online in the month of October 2024.

The meeting will be conducted virtually for three days; the first day will provide an opportunity for governments to update on their progress in implementing the Sendai Framework in the Region and will include progress updates on the preparations for the 6th Arab Regional Platform for DRR. The second day will focus on Arab Voluntary Stakeholder Groups’ updates towards the implementation of their voluntary action commitments. It will also focus on implementing the Sendai Framework at the local level and will feature updates on the status of SFM and DesInventar, among other UNDRR tools. The third day will be dedicated to information sharing and exchange from the UN and inter-governmental and international organizations, in addition to providing updates on different global events and conferences.
