General Objective

 

To increase capacity for national and local DRR strategy, plan development, monitoring and implementation by obtaining knowledge on policy frameworks, institutional and stakeholder collaborations and implementation approaches, including learning from COVID-19

  1. To strengthen the institutional capacity of the national disaster risk management system by contributing to the ongoing development and/or monitoring of national or local long-term strategic plans for disaster risk reduction (DRR)
  2. To share the disaster risk reduction experience of the Republic of Korea, UNDRR on local disaster risk management techniques in Korea and international case studies on DRR as an implementation of the SDGs
  3. To foster exchange of experience among participants to build the capacities of government officials on DRR as a required component of achieving the SDGs across sectors
  4. To advance collaboration on DRR strategy and action planning implementation and monitoring among in relevant sectors

 

Expected Outcomes

 

Draft Action Plan of the Philippines towards the development and/or implementation and monitoring of national or local DRR strategies and plans
