The WIN DRR Leadership Awards celebrate women’s leadership and recognize the outstanding achievements of women working in disaster risk reduction across the Asia-Pacific region. With more than 400 nominations received across Asia and the Pacific, a distinguished adjudication panel will select a winner for each of the two award categories:
- WIN DRR Rising Star Award granted to a woman who has demonstrated leadership potential early on in her career (US$7,500)
- WIN DRR Excellence Award supported by SM Prime Holdings Inc granted to a woman who has achieved exceptional professional success in disaster risk reduction(US$10,000).
WIN DRR aims to empower women and enhance their role in decision-making in disaster risk reduction in the Asia-Pacific region by promoting and supporting women’s leadership. WIN DRR is implemented by UNDRR through generous support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia.
