Members of the Making Cities Resilient Campaign shave pledged to step up their efforts on collaboration and knowledge sharing to support more cities in implementing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, at a recent meeting of the Steering Committee in the sidelines of Barcelona Resilience Week.

The German Government has announced strong support for the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the global plan to reduce disaster losses, including €5 million for implementation over the next three years.

These losses underline the importance of constantly raising awareness of tsunami risk and remaining vigilant, which is why it is now the custom to mark World Tsunami Awareness Day on November 5 every year.
