As part of its support to Government of Montenegro, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction in Europe and Central Asia, ran an expert reviewed assessment of the zero-draft National DRR Strategy of Montenegro 2025-2030.

The Europe and Central Asia Regional Platform for DRR invites stakeholders to submit applications for booth spaces at the Marketplace. Applications should be submitted by 31 July 2024.

To strengthen local preparedness and support cities in reducing risk and building resilience, UNDRR ROECA expanded its cooperation in 2024 with four Moldovan cities: Anenii-Noi, Căușeni, Leova, and Sîngera.

Four cities and one region in Ukraine have taken initial steps to scale up ambitions and actions to reduce disaster risk and strengthen their urban resilience.

As recovery and reconstruction efforts continue, the emphasis on building back better and leaving no one behind is imperative to enhance the disaster resilience of infrastructure, individuals, and communities in the affected region.

The Government of Tajikistan and UNDRR collaborated on an event on “Investing in Climate Resilient and Environmentally Sustainable Transport Infrastructure in Tajikistan” at the Investors Forum for EU-Central Asia Transport Connectivity on 29 January.
