The Banking With The Poor Network is a network of some 30 national policy institutions, commercial banks and NGO's from ten countries in Asia - namely Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The BWTP objective is to link microfinance with the financial system and to support the provision of inclusive financial services in Asia. It pursues this objective through capacity building, information sharing, policy dialogue, advocacy and research. The BWTP and FDC partners with the Citi Foundation to strengthen the Microfinance sector in Asia.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
