The eighth session of the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean (RP23) Proceedings

The eighth session of the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean (RP23) was held in Punta del Este, Uruguay, from Tuesday 28 February to Thursday 2 March 2023.

It was organised by the Government of Uruguay through its National Emergency System, with the support of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction - Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean.

It was conducted in a hybrid format, so the participants could attend on site and access for virtual (online) participation was granted for the formal agenda and key spaces. It was the first Regional Platform with face-to-face participation after the COVID-19 pandemic.
