RADIUS case study in Zigong, China
The United Nations launched the RADIUS (Risk Assessment Tools for Diagnosis of Urban Areas against Seismic Disaster) project, aiming to promote world-wide activities for reduction of seismic disasters in urban areas, particularly in developing countries. Zigong (China) is one of the cities selected by the program as case study. The case study was 18 month-long and conducted first to a seismic risk assessment and later to the formulations of a risk management plan, with a detailed earthquake scenario.
