Report on the 1996 world disaster reduction campaign on 'Cities at risk'
This report presents the outputs of the 1996 world disaster reduction campaign 'Cities at Risk', whose purpose was to encourage better policies about and greater public awareness of urban disasters and their mitigation. It outlines case studies, policy options and contacts, which may be adapted by organizations for their own purposes.
Through the IDNDR Secretariat, DHA worked with national and local governments, associations of cities, universities, NGOs and private firms in 65 countries in a world campaign.
