This document reports on a project aimed at studying the dissemination, collection and use of health information in risk and crisis situations. The research was carried out in Geneva, Madagascar and Cameroon by a team of researchers from Geneva University and Lausanne Polytechnic University.
The project, funded by the Geneva International Academic Network (GIAN), started in September 2006 and concluded with a workshop on its findings in November 2007. It mains international partner is the secretariat of the UN International Strategy on Disaster Reduction (ISDR). The project also benefits of the participation of two NGOs in Cameroon, PROSENAT (Projet Santé par Espèces naturelles) and WESDE (Water, Energy and Sanitation for Development Association).
