Volcano Daily is a UNISDR publication to raise awareness among young people of the dangers that volcanoes represent and, in particular, all the measures that can be undertaken to prevent and protect against volcanic disaster. The subject was chosen as part of the UNISDR information campaign on disaster reduction for sustainable mountain development, to accompany the celebration by the United Nations of the International Year of Mountains, 2002.
