Inventory of national coordination mechanisms, legal frameworks and national plans for disaster risk reduction in Africa
This inventory is an attempt to pull together the threads and to identify what does and what does not work in relation to legal, institutional and planning frameworks for disaster risk reduction (DRR) in Africa. It aims to further support the strengthening or establishment of national platforms, definition of DRR policies and national action plans by identifying challenges, gaps and needs in existing mechanisms and frameworks. The conclusions should be considered as tentative.
