This report describes the methodology used in Albania for historical disaster loss collection, the sources of data used and an analyze of the losses divided in different category groups. The historical collection of loss data is a concrete example on how disasters data can enhance the understanding of the impacts of disasters and can provide information and knowledge to decision makers.
