Parliamentarians fact sheet

This fact sheet provides a short overview of parliamentarians' key role and responsibilities in contributing to the primary responsibility of each State to prevent and reduce disaster risk. It highlights the responsibility that parliamentarians have to hold governments accountable for the commitments they have assumed at international level. Further, the fact sheet provides information about how the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) has worked with parliamentarians to advance Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction implementation.
