The improvements achieved by civil protection and emergency situations service (SPESS) of Republic of Moldova

This document gives an overview of the Service of Civil Protection in Moldova, its structure and framework, interventions related to floods, and cooperation initiated with other institutions.

The paper concludes that the collaboration between all institutions and organisations is very important when floods occur and affect towns and villages. In addition, plans to fight disasters and training of the population should be applied regularly by the appropriate institutions.
