European Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction: Prevention Pledge

Stakeholders participating in the European Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction (EFDRR) sign this pledge committing to making disaster prevention and resilience a priority and accelerating the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 according to the EFDRR Roadmap 2021-2030.

The commitments outlined in this pledge include: greater investment in disaster resilience, as the greatest public good that can be delivered to protect the safety of citizens; commitment to investing in a green and disaster resilient recovery to develop policies, strategies, investments, and action plans; committing to better understanding and communicating on existing, emerging, and future systemic risks; committing to enhancing efforts in promoting inclusive and collaborative risk governance and decision-making; and pledging to collaborate, share knowledge and experience, and periodically review progress at the European Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction.
