This paper summarizes the outcomes of the first national consultation on the 'Early Warnings for All' (EW4All) initiative in Maldives that took place in July 2023.

This report outlines current gaps and key policy options available to bridge the gap between available disaster loss data and what is needed to translate them into anticipatory action.

A workshop on "Early Warnings for All – COP28" was jointly organized in Abu Dhabi by the UNDRR, the UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA), and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

The report explores the barriers,  challenges and opportunities to strengthening gender- responsive and disability-inclusive early warning early  action in the Pacific, focusing on existing policies,  practices and knowledge.

A project for a water resources early warning system in the Inkomati Basin, which is shared by South Africa with Mozambique and Eswatini, was announced today as the winner of the 2023 RISK Award.

The workshop will review the policy landscape and risk status in the island countries in the region, and develop a roadmap to define and pursue integrated approaches in the region.

Across the ACS region, CEPREDENAC, CDEMA and UNDRR have been working to bolster communication and knowledge-sharing for MHEWS, which has deepened regional cooperation.
